‘Tooning for Tots returns for Volume 11. We’ve got penguins, orcas, fish, a unicorn, a fuzzy bear, a fuzzy…ball, Mortal Kombat, and of course, TMNT. Some good variety with an added surprise.
The centerpiece of this batch of cartoons is definitely the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle combiner. Much like Voltron, the 4 pictures of the individual turtles can be lined up to make one giant turtle-powered drawing. The kids really got a kick out of it, and I was happy with the results.
Other successful pieces in this set are the “Penguin Crowd” and “Orca Surprise” sketches. The penguin one took a great deal of time, but the child was really happy with it, and thanked me sincerely. The orca pic has some drama, though it’s still not a particular dynamic angle.
