Outer space, dragons, and those darn Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show up in this latest edition of ‘Tooning for Tots! We’ve got some really great new additions to the sketch pile, courtesy of the youngsters at the daycare center. They really went out of their way to pick some different critters, even though we have some repeat guests in this batch.
And what critters! There’s a view of earth from outer space, featuring an alien visitor. We’ve got a Minecraft enderdragon perched on rocks, and a mountain lion in the same setting. A river otter chills out with some tea, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle MichaelAngelo hangs ten on a skateboard. Water critters in the cartoons include a seahorse, seal, and pufferfish. There’s a penguin in a nasty predicament, adorable dragon Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, and an epic TMNT battle to round out the bunch.
I did my best to make some balanced drawings, but as usual there were a few stand-outs. The TMNT battle scene is fun, as is the moment a pufferfish finds out a friend is no longer around. The river otter relaxing with a beverage came out pretty well, even though it’s a fairly simple drawing. And of course, this week’s colored featured image comes from the outer space scene.
