Following a week with a lot of familiar animal and hero faces, ‘Tooning for Tots Volume 9 features many first-time appearances by creatures of myth and fantasy. The children definitely had their creative caps on when they made their requests!
From the world of fantasy, we have a unicorn and a fairy. From the depths of space, we’ve got a rocket ship (complete with alien encounter). There are 2 undersea pics, one of which figures a submarine with a unique pilot at the helm. From pop culture, there was a request for an ocelot from the video game Minecraft, as well as a fur-ball from Fuzzy Friends. A butterfly, a tiger, and a baby cat with huge eyes round out the requests.
It was way more fun to have a range of topics to draw this week. I’m glad the kids gave me some different creatures and scenes to think about. The unicorn in particular was a success; it ran through the copy machine so many children could take it home. The butterfly and submarine scenes also came out the way I wanted.
